If the smell is anything to go by, you can almost sense that it's probably already harbouring some 'nasties' which could potentially cause illnesses.
However am definitely going to get in touch with the council. You can't put your finger on it, but there's a certain undefinable scent that some people have, as you say, that's not necesarrily bad or good - but just .... THEM. I like that too. There used to be a guy I was with who smelled so nice. I don't know what it was, it wasn't exactly a fragrance, but it was very pleasant none-the-less. I used to love that when he left my house there's still bit an air of him around. :-)

In response to:Scent-a-holic

That's interesting ; I really do'nt like any strong scents , only some subtle , and preferably natural ones . .
I was thinking only today of how just a few people have their own noticable smell - I do'nt mean anything to do with not washing , or with the persons lifestle or job , or perfumes ; It's just that I've occasionally noticed that just a few people have their own , subtle but noticeable natural scent , which is neither pleasant or unpleasant , just them . .
Of course we all do and dogs are experts at noticing and differentiating that , but it's just that a small percentage of the population seem to have thir own scent noticeable to other humans ~

In response to:This is me

LOL! I get like this every now and again. I think it was made worse by being rejected by someone I really felt a lot for, especially as he indicated he felt the same way (for a while at least). It turns out he became interested in someone else. :-(

Things don't look as gloomy now. I think I was just indulging in a pity party and feeling all sorry for myself.

I do have a low self esteem sometimes though, but I don't often show it. In fact, people think I'm super confident. Perhaps that's what puts people off, because I try and act like I don't care in order to protect myself from getting hurt, so it's a bit of a double-edged sword.

Anyway at the moment I've sort of tucked these little insecurities away. They'll probably resurface again at some point but I do try not to become too weighed down by it all.

I think the most important thing is to just relax and be myself. It'll happen when it does. Unfortunately i'm not the best at following my own advice. :-)

In response to:Love n stuff

Hello , welcome here ; interesting . .
Do you think that you have 'low self esteem' which makes you think that , if anyone wants to go out with you , there must be something wrong with them ?
I can completely identify with just wanting someone to love and be loved by , and not seeking or expecting anyone to be perfect , just a decent , okay person who can be devoted to you , and you to them . .
I tend to think that it's very easy for almost any not unattractive woman aged at least under 55 to find men who are interested in her , so she can take her pick , and I wonder if you're either consciously or unconsciously putting barriers in the way of what you say that you long for , but , what would I know , and , sorry if I'm seeming to be trying to be too iritatingly clever , like such people who you wrote about in your previous post , all good wishes , ~ Martin .
